Michele Spoont

Michele Spoont, PhD is a clinical psychologist/neuropsychologist who is also an Investigator with the National Center for PTSD, Pacific Islands Division and an Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota.  Dr. Spoont’s research focuses on factors associated with mental health treatment engagement, retention and outcome, particularly in the context of PTSD.  Current projects focus on racial and ethnic disparities and cultural factors in PTSD treatment and on the provision of evidence based pharmacotherapy for PTSD in community based primary care.
