Frank Lederle

Dr. Lederle, a longtime CCDOR collaborator and colleague, passed away in January 2018.

Frank Lederle, MD was a CCDOR Core Investigator, Director of the Minneapolis VA Center for Epidemiological and Clinical Research (CECR), Physician at the Minneapolis VA and Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. His research interests included optimizing diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in the primary care of older men with a particular emphasis on the diagnosis, management, and epidemiology of abdominal aortic aneurysms. His research primarily involved large scale clinical trials and technology assessment.

In honor of Dr. Lederle's memory, a charitable fund has been set up to recognize scientific researchers and their work at the VA. Contributions can be made out to the Center for Veterans Research and Education, indicating on the memo line that it is intended for the “Frank Lederle Scientific Paper of the Year Award”.
