Christopher Erbes
Dr. Erbes, a valuable contributor and partner in CCDOR, passed away in May 2021.
Christopher Erbes, PhD was a CCDOR Core Investigator, Program Manager of the Minneapolis VA Clinician Investigator Team, Staff Psychologist at the Minneapolis VA and Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. His research interests included predictors of posttraumatic stress disorders and reintegration following combat deployment. His research involved use of technology in mental health treatments and he had a focus on couple and family functioning.
Dr. Erbes had an illustrious career:
- Roughly 20 years at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center
- Associate Professor in the Dept of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Minnesota
- Adjunct faculty in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at the University of St. Thomas and in the Program of Counseling and Psychological Services at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota
- Nationally recognized expert in PTSD, Narrative Therapy, and risk and resilience
- 100+ original scientific and professional papers
