Communications Committee
Purpose: The CCDOR Communications Committee (Triple C) was convened in April 2016 to formalize dissemination of critical study findings and impacts as well as accomplishments of CCDOR staff to increase CCDOR’s visibility within and outside of VA and improve awareness of CCDOR research within the center. Triple C is responsible for disseminating CCDOR and relevant Minneapolis VA and VHA news to CCDOR employees and stakeholders, and maintaining the center’s website. Chaired by Princess Ackland, the Triple C is comprised of Steve Fu (CCDOR Director) and members of the Project Staff and Statistics and Data Management Core.
What we do: Triple C’s main channels for communication and dissemination are newsletters, social media, press releases and this website. Our newsletters, which include a compilation of key accomplishments and research findings (e.g., Minneapolis VA ESP reports that gain national attention), are disseminated to our Expert and Stakeholder Forum, operational partners and other key stakeholders. Triple C also works closely with the Minneapolis VA Public Affairs to develop social media and press releases of CCDOR peer-reviewed publication of high-impact research. In addition, Triple C has used non-traditional methods of dissemination. For example, newsletters have been distributed at the Research Exhibit at the Minnesota State Fair, the 2nd largest state fair nationwide, to build awareness about health services research in the community at large.
